When to go and how to get there
The best season is June to September; May and October are quieter and still good for the sea. Access is by air to Mahón airport or by ferry from Barcelona, Valencia or Mallorca.
Where to rent a luxury villa in Menorca
The south of the island holds the houses near turquoise coves, between Son Bou, Binibeca and the Sant Lluís coast. Ciutadella, to the west, is the most stately Menorca, with sunsets over the sea. Mahón and its natural harbour gather period houses with water views, and the north, around Fornells, is wilder and quieter. Inland there are country estates with pools and plenty of space.
